Adapting a Digital Intervention to Improve Smoking Cessation in Persons With Serious Mental Illness

In the U.S., there are more than 1.2 million inpatient stays each year for serious mental illness (SMI). Yet tobacco cessation treatment for SMI smokers is lacking and the vast majority of patients relapse after hospital discharge. This ongoing study tailors EX to meet the needs of SMI smokers to help them stay quit after a psychiatric hospitalization.
Vaping in the Workplace: Awareness and Support for E-cigarette Workplace Policies
Clean indoor air policies have played a critical role in protecting the health of working adults. Employers are now having to consider how to handle vaping. This study found that majority of employees surveyed (including e-cigarette users) supported a vape-free workplace, yet fewer than half of employers have a written policy addressing e-cigarette use.
