The EX Program is run by the Innovations center at Truth Initiative. The Innovations center encompasses nationally recognized expertise in tobacco control treatment, research, and product development. We have an exceptional team of in-house software engineers, data science and web analytics professionals, project and program managers and dedicated online community managers. Our sales, marketing and client teams bring a wealth of experience providing tobacco cessation and wellness services to hundreds of health plans, employers and government agencies.
Our team members are seasoned professionals that have been specifically dedicated to tobacco control for many years. Building and implementing world class cessation programs is our passion and our singular focus. We don't just build products; we are continually learning and folding what we learn back into our quit smoking tools.
Amanda L. Graham, Ph.D., leads the Innovations center and is responsible for the development and growth of the Innovations smoking cessation product portfolio. She is a thought leader in web and mobile quit smoking interventions and online social networks, and has been awarded over $15 million in research funding. She is passionate and committed to delivering programs that make a demonstrable difference in the lives of smokers and their families.
Amanda earned a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School. She is Professor of Oncology (Adjunct) at Georgetown University Medical Center.
Mary Kate Salley
Mary Kate provides strategic guidance across all operational and client-facing areas. She is a seasoned executive with 25 years of experience with digital and telephonic consumer health service providers. Mary Kate has held leadership roles at Free & Clear, WebMD, and DOCTORS and consulted to the CDC's Office on Smoking and Health.
James leads our sales efforts for the EX Program. He has a unique perspective on the value of a digital-first approach. Prior to Truth Initiative, he launched and led the employer sales team at the largest US telephonic tobacco cessation provider. James has 20 years of experience in sales and marketing roles at innovative health and wellness companies.
Megan Jacobs, MPH
Megan has led our product team since 2011. She is responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of the EX Program. Megan’s expertise in mHealth interventions and public health campaigns was formed with her work at the University of Michigan Health Service, DC Department of Health, and National Vaccine Program Office.
Jody leads the experienced software development team at Truth Innovations. They are responsible for the technical development of the EX Program. Before coming to Truth Initiative, Jody honed his skills in project management, strategic planning, and web development architecture at Orbitz Worldwide and Autoscribe Corporation.
Jessie Saul, Ph.D.
Overseeing client success, Jessie has 20+ years of experience in program evaluation and strategic planning in the field of tobacco cessation. Her work with the North American Quitline Consortium, ClearWay Minnesota, and numerous state quit lines provides her with a deep understanding of how to overcome the challenges faced by our clients.
Stacy directs our marketing for the EX Program. She brings a 15+ years of marketing experience, including 10 years specifically promoting employee wellbeing solutions. Stacy has created numerous campaigns that received industry awards for creative execution, including the Aster Award, Impact Award and Hermes Creative Award.
