Manuscript Effect of Messaging Content on Engagement With a Short Messaging Service for Perioperative Smoking Cessation 2023 Nicotine & Tobacco Research This study tested two approaches to promote quitting among smokers who were getting surgery. One focused on the benefits of quitting in preparation for surgery and the other focused on the long-term benefits of quitting.
