Megan Jacobs is responsible for the design, delivery, and evaluation of the EX Program. Most recently, Jacobs led the EX Program team responsible for the first evidence-based text messaging program to help e-cigarette users of all ages quit. She has over 15 years’ experience in mHealth interventions and public health campaigns, having previously worked at the University of Michigan Health Service, DC Department of Health, and the National Vaccine Program Office. Her expertise is in the application of technology to behavior change and has included adolescent sexual health and large-scale vaccination programs.
EX Coach Lead
Margaret LaPlante is a tobacco cessation expert with more than 15 years’ experience delivering cessation coaching to people of all ages. She leads the EX Program coaching team, including staff from Mayo Clinic Nicotine Dependence Center, and ensures that protocols are current and based on the latest scientific evidence. She trains EX Coaches to engage participants in the help and medication support they need for a successful quit.
